Dr Nestor D. Chatzidiamantis was born in Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 1981. He received the Diploma degree (5 years) in electrical and computer engineering (ECE) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece, in 2005, the M.Sc. degree in telecommunication networks and software from the University of Surrey, U.K., in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree from the ECE Department, AUTH, in 2012. From 2012 through 2015, he was worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in AUTH and from 2016 to 2018, as a Senior Engineer at the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO). He is currently Assistant Professor at the ECE Department of AUTH and member of the Digital Telecommunications Systems and Networks Laboratory.
His research areas span signal processing techniques for communication systems, performance analysis of wireless communication systems over fading channels, communications theory, cognitive radio and free-space optical communications.
